We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our engineering department to lead a talented team of engineers specializing in electrical design for mission critical projects, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.

Education: Electrical Engineering degree

License: Professional Engineer (PE) a plus.

Work experience: 5+ years engineering + construction, electrical industry experience

Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management:

2. Project Oversight:

Oversee electrical design projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks.

Oversee arc flash coordination and short circuit studies.

Independently manage Neher-McGrath studies for heat dissipation and duct banks, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.

Provide support for modular designs and integrations with other engineering disciplines to enhance overall project effectiveness.

Develop and implement engineering strategies, goals, and objectives.

Manage the budget and resources of the engineering department.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and procedures.

Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in engineering technology.

3. Collaboration and Integration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and align engineering efforts with broader company goals and initiatives.

Collaborate closely with the BIM team, facilitating efficient design workflows, addressing design and code-related issues, and enhancing project efficiency.

Contribute to project planning, risk management, and decision-making processes, ensuring successful project execution and timely delivery.

Cultivate a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the engineering department.

4. Strategic Planning:

Contribute to project planning, risk management, and decision-making processes for successful project execution.

Develop and implement engineering strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with company initiatives.

5. Budget and Resource Management:

Manage the budget and resources of the engineering department effectively.

6. Continuous Improvement:

Drive initiatives to enhance engineering processes and procedures.

Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in engineering technology.

7. Qualifications:

In-depth industry knowledge and experience in electrical design for mission-critical, commercial building, and industrial facilities.

Proven experience in electrical design and project management including planning, execution, and monitoring engineering projects.

Ability to develop and implement engineering strategies.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making skills.

Detailed oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
