Position: Payroll Coordinator
Reports to: Payroll Manager
Location: Columbus, OH
Pay Range: $23 - $30 per hour

The Superior Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support all payroll activities and ensure the timely and accurate payment of weekly employee wages.
To be successful as a Payroll Coordinator, you should be able to efficiently coordinate payroll tasks and strictly follow company policies and legal regulations. The ideal candidate should also possess attention to detail, strong people skills and a curious mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform data entry tasks by collecting and verifying employee and timekeeping data.
Efficiently compute wages, deductions, commissions, benefits, and other payroll-related elements.
Review computed wages to ensure accuracy and address any discrepancies.
Update payroll information for promotions, transfers, terminations, and new hires.
Record and maintain employee records and payroll transactions.
Answer questions and resolve issues regarding payroll data.
Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, tax, and deduction laws.
Prepare payroll reports for management and auditing purposes, focus on data accuracy and completeness.
Maintain employee confidence by keeping information confidential.

Ability to maintain discretion and strict confidentiality when working with sensitive payroll information
Your Expertise:
Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in data entry and payroll administration
Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Preferred:Familiarity with CMiC and/or ADP, and experience with alternate ERP systems and third-party payroll providers is recommended.
Bonus Points: Experience in skilled-trades, union payroll, or the construction industry is a plus, showcasing your ability to handle specific industry requirements.
