Job Description

Work involves overseeing field technicians and leading research studies involving Bull Trout and Fall Chinook. The candidate must be able to write annual reports, which requires the ability to manage and analyze data, prepare graphs and tables, present and interpret data clearly in standard scientific report format. Candidates must have field experience with Pacific Northwest fish species and be familiar with standard fisheries gear and techniques such as rotary-screw traps, seine nets, trap nets, measuring and anesthetizing fish, PIT tagging, recording data, redd surveys, habitat surveys, snorkeling. Must be able to work outside in rough terrain and walk several miles per day, with a pack that may weigh 50 lb. Must have satisfactory data analysis and writing skills.

Requirements

Must have a B.S. degree in fisheries or natural resources related field and at least three years of related experience. Project management and supervisory experience necessary.
