A Pharmacist who will play a personal role in our community to ensure that our patients receive the medication and care they need. We are looking for a pharmacist with a vision for the future of community pharmacy. We strive to deliver an unprecedented patient experience that exceeds expectations and supports the patient’s total well-being. This position is a trusted advisor and mentor to our staff pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy interns, front-end associates, and delivery drivers.
Responsibilities
Face-to-face appointments with patients and/or their caregivers to discuss specific chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma/COPD, cardiovascular, etc via co-visits
Provide medication recommendations based on disease state, solve medication refill issues, and coordinate directly with pharmacies when necessary.
Provide and document prior authorizations, co-visits, annual wellness visits, chronic care management, patient assistance programs, and medication therapy management services via electronic health record
Dispense prescribed medications and recommend appropriate over-the-counter therapies according to professional standards and state and federal legal requirements
Oversee pharmacy staff engaged in counting, filling, packaging, labeling, and delivering medications.
Oversee daily ordering and participate in inventory management
Review prescriptions issued by a physician or other authorized prescriber, to assure accuracy and assess the appropriateness of therapy
Certified to provide appropriate immunization services to walk-in patients (includes active CPR certification)
Establish and maintain good working relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionalsRequirements:
What will you need to succeed?
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
PharmD degree and/or residency training is preferred
Active license to practice pharmacy in North Carolina
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leader, flexible, good work ethic
Customer service-oriented and highly organized
