Equipment Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

Evaluates, selects, and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.

Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.

Studies equipment performance and reliability.

Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.

Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.

Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.

Qualifications Requirements:

Bachelor in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with ability to build custom fixtures that are complex.

Ideally 5 years of experience in building mechanical fixtures.

Ability to read drawings, BOMs, GD&T.

Experience in mechanical assembly and ability to use machining operations such as drilling, milling, grinding, polishing, etc.

Ability to work with vendors on dimensions and order parts/components.

Ability to qualify equipment in medical device mfg. assembly line (for example performing equipment PMs, IQs, and functional verification).

Experience in working in a med device company in a cleanroom environment.

Comfortable working in a team environment and taking directions from technical leads.

Comfortable working on aggressive timelines
