A healthcare network in Virginia is currently seeking a new, licensed Dentist to join their growing team in Boydton.

About the Opportunity:

Start Date: ASAP

Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)

Schedule: Monday to Thursday

Hours: 8am to 6pm

Patient Population: Adults (occasional Pediatric cases)

EMR: eClinicalWorks

Responsibilities:

The Dentist will:

Provide general and comprehensive dentistry services and supervise dental and clinical staff

Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of clinical dental policies and procedures

Diagnose and evaluate dental conditions and maintaining accurate dental records to support diagnose/evaluation

Interpret x-rays and treat mouth diseases; provide restorations and other treatment as needed

Perform emergency procedures on patients to reduce or eliminate pain

Assess treatment options and agree on treatment plan with patients

Instruct/educate patients in oral hygiene and dental care

Assist with the development and implementation of Dental Quality Assurance

Train and evaluate assigned Dental staff

Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

1+ year of experience in Human / Social Services

Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS)

Desired Skills:

Experience in a Healthcare environment

Training or direct experience in counseling, interviewing, service plan development, decision making, and information and referral service
