Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring for a Phlebotomist I to support our client’s medical facility based in Columbus, OH.

This is a 4-month contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

Experience in specimen collection: The individual has experience in various aspects of specimen collection, including blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging them.

Adherence to procedures: They adhere to established procedures for collecting, storing, and handling specimens, ensuring accuracy and integrity.

Communication skills: They can clearly and courteously explain the specimen collection process to patients and demonstrate techniques using different types of needles.

Documentation and record-keeping: They record maintenance data, update patient information, and ensure accurate matching of laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.

Regulatory compliance: They understand and comply with regulatory requirements such as OSHA and DEP regulations, attending annual department trainings to stay updated.

Qualifications:

Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.

Minimum of 6 months` work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Additional Information:

Location: Columbus, OH.

Job Type: Contract to hire.

Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8:30am-5pm Rotating Saturdays 8am-12pm

Pay Range: $15-$19/hour.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
