This is an opportunity for individuals with little to no experience in the low voltage field. TEKsystems will be hosting a 5 week program starting in March, paid for by TEKsystems, for motivated individuals to learn low voltage telecommunications skills. Students will receive hands on experience as they work with various technologies, preparing them for their future in technology. While in the program you will not be paid. Following the completion of the program all graduates will have guaranteed interviews at a rate of $18-20/hr with established low voltage companies.
Skills Taught:
Earn OSHA 10 and Electrical Safety Training
Apply OSHA electrical protocols to ensure safe interactions with high-voltage systems
Execute telecom infrastructure and topology network to specification
Demonstrate proficiency in low-voltage crimping and cabling
Deploy and manage network infrastructure using structured cabling and media principles Technical Skills UCI 2064
Exhibit expertise in network protocols such as TCP/IP, NAT/PAT, and VLANs
Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues through network troubleshooting Administer 802.11x wireless networking through applied knowledge and techniques
