Position Summary

ECPI University is seeking an experienced Welding professional to provide continuing education training to experienced Welders. These instructors will teach a variety of classes that focus on shielded metal arc, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, and oxyacetylene/plasma arc/carbon cutting processes.

Responsibilities:

Provide practical hands-on instruction to create an engaging learning environment

Employ instructional technology and active learning approaches to enhance the learning experience and achieve learning outcomes

Evaluate student academic performance using a variety of assessments and techniques

Participate in scheduled activities

Stay current in subject matter through professional development

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

3 years of recent welding experience

Ability to pass certification tests in each welding process taught

Teaching/training experience preferred

Current Transportation Worker Identification Credential a plus

Experience with Container Repair is a plus

Skills/Abilities

Effective oral and written communication skills

Ability to work with a variety of learning styles and skill levels
