Job Description
Summary (Essential Functions): The golf course maintenance worker is responsible for cutting grass on the tee boxes, fairways, roughs, fringes and greens; irrigating the course and working on its watering system; sodding; trimming; and applying fertilizer and pesticides on and around the course. He will use equipment such as walking mowers, tee mowers, rollers, bunker rakes, carts, push mowers, and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools. Details: Job tasks include, but are not limited to:
Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers as directed by Golf Course Superintendent
Cut grass and trim weeds and hedges using hand mower, power mowers, weed trimmers, brush cutters, and other tools
Maintain greens, fairways, cart paths, and all adjacent Golf Course property, utilizing the following equipment
Backpack blowers, weed eaters, edgers, and push mowers
Small- to mid-size riding mowing equipment
Manual transmission utility vehicles
Greens roller
Turf aerifier
Sod-cutting machine
Golf utility vehicles
Commonly used hand tools
Qualifications: Qualified candidates will possess landscaping experience, working knowledge of various lawn/ground equipment, a strong customer service orientation, and attention to detail. Candidate must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, holidays, and weekends, with occasional overtime during golf season.

Sign-on Bonus: After 6 months of service, employees receive sign-on bonuses as follows:
35+ hrs/wk - $1000
21 - 35 hrs/wk - $500
1 - 20 hrs/wk - $250
