Job Description

Tulsa Fabrication Shop is Seeking Skilled Cincinnati Brake Press Operators for 1st and 2nd shifts.

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Produce parts from metal using a press brake, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends, punches, or cuts into material. Program and cut parts from metal using a CNC plasma torch on the Plasma Table.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Use analytical and mathematical skills to interpret drawings, templates, drawings and blueprints that accompany each project.

· Unload steel trucks. Compare packing slips to actual material unloaded to verify accuracy.

· Check material for grade, thickness, and size.

· Set up and operate CNC controlled fabrication equipment to include loading and installing correct tooling, making adjustments to the machines, and inspecting the final product.

· Reviews drawing or operating program to obtain material size and type, set up information and cutting sequence to manually or automatically cut material on the Plasma Table

· Installs consumables, verifies gas pressure, gas mixtures, arc voltages and arc amperages on Plasma

· Inspects and removes finished parts from burning table, labeling parts as required.

· Read gauges and other measurement tools to determine dimensions and tolerances of completed work.

· Make sure machines are working at full capacity, stocked with needed materials, well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output.

· Inspect the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and to print specifications.

· Must maintain good housekeeping and act responsibly to follow safe operating practices. Organize materials in area, including incoming steel.

· Responsible for keeping maintenance of Brake Press and Plasma Table, paying attention to potential defects, and performing periodic checks.

· Desire to learn new skills and develop technical knowledge
