We currently seek to fill the role of Manufacturing Engineer Technician to design, implement, monitor, and maintain manufacturing processes. The technician will generate programs for CNC machining, drilling, and cutting machines to maximize machine capabilities and capacities. They will also support manufacturing to achieve the most efficient and cost-effective way of producing high quality products, all while advancing KBC’s mission of being a forward-thinking, collaborative, and ethical business.

Responsibilities

Assists manufacturing in the development and implementation of jigs, fixtures, and tooling in order to reduce lead times and cost.

Supports manufacturing operations through the generation of standard work as required and identified.

Provides technical support to manufacturing engineers on complex components, devices, material, products, processes and/or equipment.

Supports improvements in manufacturing operations through development of jigs, fixtures, and other tooling requirements.

Supports increased capacity and quality improvements in the Injection Molding area through implementation of tool change over improvements and process documents.

Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials.

Reviews technical problems and departmental procedures. Recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures that may result in changes in ISO procedures.

Works with Quality on inspection applications, and reviews ISO standards to ensure compliance with these standards.

Programs CNC machine tools for manufacturing while maintaining drop inventory for sheet and plate material.

Assists R&D efforts through fixture designs and building of prototypes.

Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Proficient with CAD, including Solidworks.

Experience with CAMWorks, Mastercam, or similar software is preferred but not required.

Demonstrates KBC values of personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive action.

Requires broad knowledge of technicial engineering, machining, and fabricating, along with the ability to read drawings.

An associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience, along with 2 or more years of experience in manufacturing engineering, is required.
