Job Description

Dagan Electric Company is looking for a Journeyman Electrician in our VA Beach, VA location to join our growing team. The candidate will work on commercial & industrial electrical installations, roadway & commercial site lighting, and traffic signals at various locations throughout Hampton Roads.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Install, troubleshoot, and maintain raceways, wiring, and equipment for electrical systems, and other systems.

· Inspect, test, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, lighting, and power circuits

· Ability to identify hazards and work in a safe and efficient manner.

· Performs all work following safety procedures

Qualifications and Skills

· Current Journeyman Electrician license (preferred but not required)

· Valid Virginia drivers license

· Minimum five years’ experience in the electrical trade

· Experience working with system voltages up to 480v

· Experience installing and maintaining wiring, control, and lighting/power systems

· Familiarity with electrical construction practices including threading, bending conduit, and pulling/removing wire

· Installation of exterior conduit systems for site lighting and service entrance conduits.

· Bucket Truck / aerial device experience

· This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds
