Position Title: Social Worker Overview: The Social Worker will play a vital role in supporting individuals and communities by providing counseling, advocacy, and resources to address various social and emotional challenges.

This position requires a license in Maryland, ensuring compliance with state regulations and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities: Client Assessment and Counseling: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs, strengths, and challenges, using standardized tools and interviews.

Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting achievable goals and objectives.

Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups, addressing issues such as mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, and crisis intervention.

Case Management: Coordinate services and resources to meet clients' needs, including referrals to healthcare providers, social services agencies, and community organizations.

Advocate for clients' rights and access to services, ensuring they receive appropriate support and assistance.

Monitor clients' progress and outcomes, adjusting treatment plans as needed to promote positive outcomes and client empowerment.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and progress notes in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements.

Prepare reports and documentation for case reviews, court hearings, and other legal proceedings, as needed.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external agencies to facilitate communication and continuity of care for clients.

Community Outreach and Education: Conduct outreach activities to raise awareness of social issues and available resources within the community.

Develop and deliver educational programs and workshops on topics such as parenting skills, mental health awareness, and substance abuse prevention.

Collaborate with schools, faith-based organizations, and other community partners to support prevention efforts and promote wellness.

Professional Development: Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in the field of social work through continuing education, workshops, and professional conferences.

Maintain licensure and comply with ethical standards and regulations set forth by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners.

Participate in supervision, consultation, and peer review activities to enhance clinical skills and ensure quality of care.

Qualifications: Bachelors or Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Maryland.

Clinical experience in providing direct services to individuals, families, and groups in diverse settings, such as healthcare facilities, schools, and community agencies.

Knowledge of social work theories, assessment techniques, and evidence-based interventions.

Strong interpersonal skills, cultural competence, and empathy to effectively engage with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community partners.

Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other technology tools for documentation and communication.
