GU offers demographic-specific self-defense programs that teach men, women, children, and law enforcement based in the principles and techniques of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Our Torrance location serves as GU headquarters with over 1,100 local students and a state-of-the-art facility. Owners Rener and Ryron Gracie are grandsons of Helio Gracie, the co-creator of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and they continue his legacy as they teach the weak to defend against the strong. JOB SUMMARY

Our Information Technology (IT) Generalist is responsible for a wide range of functional areas, including systems design, systems and network administration, programming, information technology support, and Information Technology consulting, and asset management. In addition to implementing and managing technology solutions, the IT Generalist is responsible for performing administrative and technical procedures on information systems and maintaining documentation.

The IT Generalist is passionate about technology and programming, with a proven track record of problem-solving and a genuine desire to help others. RESPONSIBILITIES

Development and Programming: Support business unit staff by aiding in the development and maintenance of low-code applications, system workflows, and application integrations.

Technical Support: Provide first and second-level support to employees; troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.

Asset Management: Oversee the entire life cycle of the company's IT assets, from acquisition to disposition; including tracking, receiving, recovering, deploying, and retiring technology assets.

Network Management: Monitor the performance of the network to ensure that systems are running properly and that any issues are identified and escalated early. Oversee the installation of new network hardware and software.

Identity and Access Management: Oversee the development and execution of a process for managing and controlling the access of authorized users to IT resources.

Patch Management: Oversee the timely application of patches for all end-users computers and network devices.

Phone and Communication Systems: Administer the VOIP phone system, provisioning lines, configuring the IVR, and addressing any issues.

Project Management: Provide detailed oversight of project plans, collaborating with stakeholders to keep the plans current and projects progressing towards completion on time.

Data Management and Backup: Oversee data storage solutions, ensure the integrity of data backups, and test recovery procedures.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation and procedures for IT systems.

Infrastructure Management: Maintain and upgrade network infrastructure. Provide support for printer setups, battery backups, and coordinate with electricians for electrical needs.

New Hire Onboarding: Set up accounts and devices for new hires, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest technologies and IT trends. Participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations to enhance job knowledge.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

3-5 years of relevant experience in IT and development.

Strong programming skills.
