What You Will Do At ODM

Working Title: Legal Intern (PNs 20100919, 20100920)

Internship Overview

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a law school student who has completed at least one year of law school to serve as a legal intern for the agency’s Contracts and Procurement bureau. Under the general direction of a licensed attorney, your responsibilities will include:

Drafting legal documents including contracts, grants, inter-agency agreements, and assisting in special projects of value to the Ohio Medicaid program

Conducting legal research and preparing reports on findings

Writing, editing, and tracking material content development and changes using applicable software including Microsoft Word and Excel

Performing other duties as assigned (e.g., special projects, maintaining logs, records, and files)

Internships at ODM focus on enhancing your knowledge and experience by providing opportunities to assist with important agency projects that relate to your field of study. ODM offers flexible days, hours and internship duration to meet agency needs and your academic schedule.

Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in an American Bar Association accredited law school.

Minimum 2.5 GPA required.
