Accounting Internship

Overview:

The Accounting Intern will play a vital role in supporting Surge Staffing's Accounting Department. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various aspects of accounting, contributing to the growth and success of our organization. The intern will work closely with our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Billing, and Collections teams.

Location: Full-time (Monday - Friday) On-Site position at Surge Staffing HQ in Columbus, Ohio.

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with mentors in each accounting-related department, providing support in their respective duties.

· Assist with research, filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records.

· Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, invoices, and other documentation.

· Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.

· Learn to work effectively as part of the Accounting team, compiling and analyzing data, tracking information, and supporting company or client needs.

· Undertake additional tasks or projects to expand knowledge of accounting and office operations.

Qualifications:

· At least a Junior pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.

· Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

· Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment.
