Overview:

Big Sky Resort is looking for a Assistant Front Desk Manager at the Summit Hotel who is a driven self starter and enjoys creating transformational experiences for guests. At the Summit Hotel Front Desk at Big Sky Resort we strive to provide exceptional personalized service and seek to welcome every guest with a heartfelt greeting. The Summit Hotel Assistant Manager is tasked with supporting, supervising, and training this expectation with in their team. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, well spoken, and customer service driven. As the Assistant Front Desk Manager you would be responsible for supporting the Front Desk Manager and Front Desk Team in maintaining and improving lodging operations and fulfills the manager role when the manager is absent.

This position requires a full season full time commitment. Please only apply if you are able to stay May 23rd - September 18th. The ideal candidate could have the option to continue into the winter season.

Responsibilities:

Lead by example by communicating and partnering with all department leaders and hourly Associates to ensure the guest experience is personalized and executed seamlessly along with creating a positive and productive work environment by holding staff accountable, counsel and discipline in a productive manner, as needed

Providing excellent customer service and telephone etiquette, and actively aspiring to reach department and property defined goals and objectives

Thinking outside the box to own and solve guest stay areas of opportunity. Going above and beyond to recover any service opportunities and exceed guest expectations

Maintaining proper record keeping for guest accounts, being knowledgeable about hotel services and local surroundings in order to answer, respond and communicate with guests regarding questions and requests

Encourage and train staff to provide the highest level of service to all guests

Hosting and welcoming guests with a friendly and sincere demeanor

Assisting with guest check-in and out process, as well as folios, invoicing and billing

Willing to work holidays, weekends, and to have a rotating schedule

Keeping track and ordering inventory as needed along with being the point of contact for all group information

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Current Big Sky Resort employee in good standing

Hotel Front Desk or Front of the House experience is preferred

Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Previous leadership or supervisory role is appreciated

Great communication skills
