We are seeking a skilled and experienced User Researcher to join the UX Design team at BlueCat.
You will report to the UI/UX Manager, and you will play a crucial role in understanding our users' needs, behaviors, and preferences.
Your insights will directly influence the design and development of all the BlueCat products, ensuring they are user-centered and meet the highest standards of usability and accessibility.
The ideal candidate is a team player and passionate about user experience (UX), possesses excellent research skills, and has a strong understanding of human-computer interaction principles.
Responsibilities: · Plan and conduct user research activities, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, to gather insights about user behavior, preferences, and needs.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, the UX Design team, Product Managers, and Engineers, to identify research objectives and define research questions.
· Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
· Develop research plans, including study design, participant recruitment, and data collection methods, ensuring that research activities are aligned with project timelines and objectives.
· Analyze research data using both qualitative and quantitative methods and synthesize findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
· Create user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts that effectively communicate user insights to stakeholders.
· Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging research methodologies, and apply them to enhance the user research process · Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentation.
· Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that user needs are considered and prioritized during decision-making processes.
Required qualifications: · Bachelor's or master's degree in human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
· Proven experience in conducting user research in a professional setting, preferably within a technology or design-oriented organization.
· Proficiency in a wide range of research methods, such as interviews, surveys, usability testing.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive meaningful insights from qualitative and quantitative data.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey research findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Familiarity with UX design principles and practices, and an understanding of how user research integrates with the design processes.
· Experience working in an Agile environment · Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
· A passion for user-centered design and a deep empathy for users.
· Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
