Process Engineer

Job Description

Reports to:Process Eng. Mgr

Job Summary:Oversee production, machine settings, quality, including trials and continuous improvement activity

*Manage recipes, making changes as needed*Creating new recipes for new product lines*Lead execution of local trials and product qualifications*Manage properties of product and assure the meet specifications*Determine specs for new product, which line to run on, manage efficiency*Provide technical support for quality, maintenance, and planning*Oversee technology maintenance including spin belts, honeycombs, and all other equipment affecting the process*Supervise troubleshooting process and quality issues by process techs*Participate with plant management team*Participate in global process and communicate with counterparts in overseas plants*Quality - Ensures quality by continually watching for any abnormality and reporting it timely*Safety - follows company procedures and uses material and equipment per manufacturers' directions*Other duties as assigned

Requirements:High School Diploma, (or a GED) or equivalent experience is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Cognex and SAP preferred. Additionally, he/she must possess good problem solving skills, basic math skills, along with good interpersonal skills. Working harmoniously with co-workers while exhibiting a "can-do" attitude is critical to success. Employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a somewhat frequent basis.
