Title: Plant Manager

Position Summary:
The Plant Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operations of a manufacturing facility. This position requires a dynamic individual with exceptional management and operational skills to ensure the plant meets production targets, maintains product quality, adheres to safety standards, and maximizes cost-efficiency. The Plant Manager plays an important role in maintaining and enhancing the overall success of the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Safety and Compliance:
o Maintain a culture of safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
o Monitor and promote safe work practices and conduct regular safety audits.
• Quality Control:
o Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed industry and company standards.
o Investigate and address any quality issues promptly to prevent recurrence.
• Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
o Manage raw material and finished goods inventory to optimize stock levels and reduce excess holding costs.
o Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely and cost-effective material procurement.
• Production Management:
o Develop and execute production plans to meet or exceed output targets while maintaining product quality and efficiency.
o Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance production processes and reduce waste.
• Budgeting and Cost Management:
o Develop and manage the plant's budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
o Optimize resource allocation and cost-effective production processes.
• Team Leadership:
o Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team.
o Foster a collaborative and engaged workforce, setting clear expectations, and providing regular feedback.
• Maintenance and Equipment:
o Oversee maintenance schedules and equipment reliability to minimize downtime.
o Ensure that all equipment is in optimal working condition and coordinate repairs when necessary.
• Environmental Stewardship:
o Implement environmentally responsible practices, minimizing the plant's environmental footprint.
o Comply with relevant environmental regulations and seek opportunities for sustainability improvements.
• Communication and Reporting:
o Maintain open and effective communication with senior management, employees, and other relevant stakeholders.
o Provide regular reports on plant performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Up to 15% travel may be required.
