The Electronics Commodity Buyer is part of the Supply Chain Team. This is a full-time, exempt position. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following):

Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate the best pricing.

Process requisitions and update management on the status of orders.

Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.

Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.

Purchasing commodities and services to meet specialized or complex needs.

Make purchase decisions in accordance with company procedures and regulations.

Analyze purchase requisitions and review them for accuracy and completion.

Identify and select vendors and suppliers using criteria such as quantity and quality of commodities, price, and delivery date.

Work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree focus in Supply Chain preferred.

5-6 years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain Management or Engineering.

Extensive knowledge of electronic commodity buying, and operations gained through progressive buying experience.

Conduct regular Business Performance Reviews with Suppliers

Proven ability to construct value stream industry maps and utilize advanced financial techniques.

Demonstrated ability to hold cost-out sessions with suppliers and appropriate internal stakeholders.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Proven ability to identify process issues and drive improvements to improve operational efficiency.

Knowledge and experience with ERP systems and implementation

Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills

High level of integrity

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Takes strong ownership of projects, emphasizing accuracy and detail orientation.

Well organized, methodical, and consistent in work product.

Process a strong desire to learn with a positive attitude.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.

Knowledge of PCBA and Cable Assemblies is advantageous.
