Pile Driving Foreman

Soule Construction, LLC., is a locally owned construction company that specializes in pile driving, seawall installation, concrete bridges, concrete marine structures, shoreline protection and stabilization, earthwork, dredging, civil construction, and other water borne construction activities.

Job Description

o Pile driving foreman will work directly under the Project superintendent and will be responsible for all craft persons performing work tasks. The foreman will need to be proficient in pile driving work, safety policies, procedures, and be a critical thinker. The foreman will work directly with the superintendent in planning of the work to meet production and schedule goals of the project. Applicants will need to be self-starters and willing to perform physical labor when the job requires.

Duties and Responsibilities

o Oversee and lead craft people in daily work tasks. Providing leadership, direction, organization, and motivation to the craft persons: assign, oversee, and follow up on the performance of all types of work tasks.

o Planning of specific work tasks with a heavy emphasis on working safely and efficiently

o Assist in implementation of daily paperwork for field staff.

o Operate and maintain equipment to complete work tasks.

o Maintain accurate field notes and produce daily reports.

o Enforce all Federal, State, and Company safety rules.

o Supervise implementation, including checklists for equipment set-up, rigging equipment, and materials, inspections, audits, emergency response, hurricane preparations, etc.

Qualifications and Skills

o Have at least 5 years of experience in the marine construction/ pile driving industry.

o Have a solid understanding of all various types of pile, pile installation methods, and pile driving equipment.

o Ability to read Blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

o Ability to take information from blueprints, drawings, and specs and apply them to the project in terms of work/pile layout, work sequence.

o Possess strong leadership skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.

o Possess Excellent prioritization, organizational, and delegation skills.

Work Environment

o Work will be performed mostly on various types of marine vessels and/ or near water.

o Work will be performed in an outdoor environment and in various weather conditions.

o Weekend work may be required based on a project needs.

o Out-of-town work may be required based on project locations.
