Overview
Responsible for monitoring and operating the organization’s Citrix environment, networks, and applications. This includes installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and maintaining the environment.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with internal staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
• Excellent problem resolution approaches and critical thinking skills.
• Experience in scripting.
• 24x7 On-Call rotation.
• Plans, designs, and implements solutions for Citrix, VMware and other Windows based networked systems, including configurations; supporting/troubleshooting problems; coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as Servers, Operating systems, application; project implementation; providing training and assisting with project writing.
• Build new servers, including hardware installed in the data center, and install OS and software.
• Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and Operating systems. Including but not limited to Active Directory and domain controller configuration and maintenance.
• Improving and adjusting the Virtual Desktop system.
• Taking part in upgrading and updating the system’s applications, installing it with up-to-date descriptions.
• Should strengthen the apps, the Windows server, and the principal operating system.
• Taking full control and accountability for applying, implementing, maintaining, and examining the documentation of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
Required Skills
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• B.S. Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a similar discipline is highly recommended.
• 4+ years of experience operating a company’s internal data communications system, specifically the Citrix system.
• Solid network administration skills.
• A strong understanding of Active Directory and identity management systems.
• PowerShell scripting.
• The ability to work flexibly, independently, as well as in a team.
• VMWare vcenter, Data Loss Prevention.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgment, common sense, and resourcefulness.
• Fluent in Microsoft T-SQL or similar query language
