PBD is seeking a Project Architect/Architectural Designer to join our Corporate Interiors and Architecture team in Chicago.
The primary responsibilities of the Project Architect/Architectural Designer is to ensure the technical and design intent of each project is carried out in the form of design and construction documents. At Partners by Design, we look for people that have a strong desire to collaborate and work as a team. The Project Architect/Architectural Designer is involved from project start to completion and is able to contribute to all phases of the project. This team based environment thrives on input from all members of the studio resulting in a culture that is creative and energetic while producing exceptional projects!
Roles and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with great team members on both Interior and Shell/Core architecture and design projects.
Work as member of a team from project inception to completion
Work with the team on a project to ensure execution of the design intent into the construction documents and throughout construction administration
Communicate with team and client on technical impact and budget related issues while providing direction
Work through all phases of project process
Prepare accurate and detailed technical documents
Prepare and document required code research for project
Coordinate quality architectural and consultant services within a project team
Add value to all meetings and company culture
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture from an accredited school
3-8 years' experience working in Architecture and in Corporate/Workplace Interiors
Proficient in Revit
Solid understanding of technical aspects and what a complete contract document set consists of
Excellent communication, technical and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
Experience working throughout all stages of projects from concept to completion
A detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Salary based on AIA Salary Survey and years of experience
