Peraton has a great opportunity for a Project Manager/Business Operations in Chantilly, VA supporting our Intelligence Community (IC) customer. At the heart of national security, we've been embedded into this cutting-edge program for nearly a decade. Your efforts will fundamentally change what Space Domain Awareness and Mission Protection means for our Nation.

Skyfire is a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Indications and Warning (I&W) system. Its purpose is to establish a repository of resident space objects (RSOs), find RSOs of interest, and provide data to ground operators. Located in Chantilly, VA, the Skyfire team uses: sensor modeling, and systems engineering expertise to deliver this world-class SDA I&W system.

You will join a group within the National Security Space (NSS) Business Unit which is responsible for developing and delivering engineering, software, and infrastructure solutions in support of the nation’s critical space-based infrastructure. Superior domain knowledge and communication skills are required along with the ability to successfully interface with corporate functional organizations in program execution.

What you'll do:

Support all facets of project management, including estimating and planning tasks, creating and managing schedules, and implementing sound financial management across the program

Hire and manage personnel

Orchestrate and manage subcontractor support to the program

Interface with corporate functional support to enable program success (e.g. Contracts, Finance, HR, Recruiting, Facilities, Security, etc.)

You will be required to interface with the customer/government customers, Peraton senior leadership, and other organizations to keep program deliverables on track on schedule and manage risk and opportunities

Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), DoD Earned Value Management Interpretation Guide (EVMIG), or industry standard NDIA EIA-748

Coordinate and communicate CDRL development, status, and delivery with partner contracting company through routine and out of cycle meetings

Perform as needed quality control of supporting documentation and or CDRLs to ensure contractual requirements are met prior to customer delivery

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

Six (6+) years of experience

Demonstrated experience documenting and the systems engineering lifecycle

Experience managing and resolving conflicts

Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop employees

Strong interpersonal, organizational, client relationship management, and load-balancing skills

Demonstrated ability/experience identifying/solving problems reviewing related information to develop/evaluate options and implement solutions

Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience

This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- Contract requires TS/SCI with poly. The candidate must maintain the clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering or computer science field

Two (2+) years of related experience as a systems engineer

Two (2+) years of experience in the Intelligence Community with systems engineering focus

One (1+) year of experience in software or hardware integration

Self-starter with ability to work independently and with stakeholders

Defensive space control, such as space operations and/or mission protection experience

Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills

Target Salary Range:

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
