Title: Logistics Coordinator

Location: Washington, D.C.

Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package based on qualifications; classified as full-time salaried; exempt and not eligible for overtime.

Reports to: Christopher Banton, Senior Logistics Manager

Travel: Occasional travel to warehouses in Columbus, OH and Nashville, TN

Position Overview

An opportunity exists for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator. This role is pivotal within our Logistics team, requiring the successful candidate to assist in managing transportation processes for the Buying and Merchant teams. The primary focus will be on coordinating with multiple factories to ensure the seamless and timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will be adept at building strong relationships with suppliers, factories, and vendors, and will provide essential support to the Merchant teams in adjusting and projecting shipping windows for orders. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are essential for this role.

Core Responsibilities

Oversee transportation processes, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of bulk inventory orders from our factories to our warehouse(s).

Collaborate with Merchant teams and suppliers to vendors to sequence, schedule, and facilitate smooth shipping and receiving of all inbound purchase orders.

Manage purchase orders to ensure real-time accuracy of units and ship windows.

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to schedule shipments, evaluating cost and transit times.

Track and resolve shipping exceptions, escalating issues to stakeholders when necessary.

Cultivate relationships with existing vendors to ensure operational efficiency.

Identify and implement improvements to procurement processes.

Take ownership of the purchase order reconciliation process by researching and resolving aging purchase orders.

Provide reporting and analytical support to internal stakeholders regarding Logistics operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

1-3 years of experience in transportation, project management, or a relevant logistics role, with international shipping experience preferred.

Proficiency in data entry, database management, reporting, and compliance.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Analytical, problem-solving mindset with strong negotiation and vendor relationship-building skills.
