GCyber is actively seeking a proficient Voice Technician to support and maintain our voice communication systems within a secure environment for our high-visibility DoD client. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in telecommunications, VoIP, and VoSIP technologies, along with a commitment to excellent client relations.

As a Voice Technician, you will:

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of voice communication systems, including ISDN, VoIP, VoSIP, and teleconferencing devices, ensuring high availability and quality of service.

Apply DoD processes and standards to all voice communication system activities, maintaining compliance with security and operational policies.

Use fundamental knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite to support networked voice systems, with a strong understanding of MAC and IP addresses.

Provide exceptional customer service and support, resolving issues in a high-visibility environment and ensuring user satisfaction.

Conduct problem analysis and troubleshooting, identifying root causes of voice system issues and implementing effective solutions.

Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of voice system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps, contributing to the knowledge base and operational continuity.

Collaborate with IT and network teams to integrate voice communication systems with existing network infrastructure, enhancing overall system performance and reliability.

Stay current with emerging voice communication technologies and best practices, recommending upgrades and enhancements to improve system capabilities and user experience.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Active Secret Clearance required.

Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, such as Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Information Systems, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.

5+ years of related Voice Technician experience, with a focus on configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting voice communication systems.

5+ years of related IT/telecommunications experience within the DoD environment, demonstrating familiarity with DoD network and system security requirements.

One or more relevant telephony certifications from recognized institutions such as Avaya, Nortel, AT&T, or equivalent, showcasing specialized knowledge in voice communication technologies.
