Cold Heading Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a Cold Heading Machine Operator to join our team! You will help operational activities and ensure excellent quality control.

This position is responsible for the operation of cold heading machines, thread rolling machine, stamping press machine, lathes, milling machine, grinding machine, shot blast, and oven (including set-up, operate, monitor, trouble-shoot, and perform preventive maintenance). The machine operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.

Responsibilities:

Perform to set up, operate, and monitor assigned machine

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion

Load and unload equipment and materials

Inspect parts to specifications and make adjustments or tool changes

Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the plant

Log and record keeping for equipment and procedures

Qualifications:

Previous experience in plant operations or other related fields

Familiarity with plant tools and equipment

Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

Ability to handle physical workload

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

High school diploma or GED required. 2-4 years of experience as machine operator in a manufacturing environment required. Must be able to read drawings, schematics and manuals and use precision measuring instruments to check part tolerances to customer specifications. Must have demonstrated ability to work in a diverse team environment and work independently.

Normal Work Schedule : M-F, 1st Shift: 7am - 4pm (or 2nd shift: 3pm - 12am, only when necessary)
