CAPENTER: HIGH END CUSTOM WINDOW INSTALLER works on exclusive projects, with demanding quality outcomes This is a job to take pride in and a career building position.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITY: To execute high quality and profitable production activities, as assigned by the Production Supervisor, that supports the goals of the company as well as the customer.

JOB SUMMARY: The Custom Window Installer is a carpenter at A&A Building and Remodeling, Inc who is a skilled carpenter. They are responsible for being the on-site day to day team member who can also be a site supervisor when called on.at assigned projects. You are responsible for producing remodeling and new construction projects on time and within the established budget provided. You will lead other employees by example as well as specialty trade contractors when they are on your project.

The Custom Window Installer Carpenter at A&A Building and Remodeling, Inc is a skilled professional with at least 3 or more years experience as a carpenter with framing and Exterior Trim finish carpentry skills. They must be organized, have good verbal and written communication skills, and possess the ability to be a problem solver. Must be a team player, be open minded, have a curiosity and desire to continue to learn and to share knowledge. Must be optimistic, be willing to adapt and change to new perspectives, and want to proactively participate in the success of the project as well as the company.

This includes utilizing our web based operations platform, BuilderTrend to document work progress, daily logs, change orders, and time clock functions.

Your performance is extremely important to the success of this company, as you are the “front line” of contact with the client. Following all guidelines to achieve the highest level of client satisfaction and craftsmanship is central to your role.

THE POSITION'S ACTIVITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

1. Ensure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship and polite communication.

2. Assist the Production Manager in creating and adjust the schedule and work with the production manager to get the job back on schedule

3. Daily logs are entered into BuilderTrend basis inform the Production Manager of the progress of the project.

4. Document all changes requiring notification and customer preapproval using company provided Change Order form. Supervise the activities of the company's field carpenters and/or independent sub contractors, which shall include proactive oral and written communication as needed.

5. Be responsible for the efficient and profitable use of the company's time, manpower, materials and or other resources on each project, as included in project estimate sheets and or standard company polices as described in the company handbook.

6. Responsible for managing and tracking the progress and profitability of the projects under his or her supervision and proactively reporting relevant information to the Lead Carpenter, Site Supervisor, and Production Manager.

7. Maintain an operational inventory and safety of necessary tools, safety equipment, equipment and vehicles as needed to perform all activities as assigned by the Production Manager

8. Ensure job site and worker compliance with all OSHA and RRP requirements. This includes company employees as well as all independent sub contractors and vendors.

9. Serve as a mentor to other subordinate employees to help them advance their skills and support company established career paths.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1. Motivated self-starter.

2. Must be a team player, be open minded, have a curiosity and desire to continue to learn Detail oriented and highly organized.

3. Ability to perform physically demanding work on a consistent basis.

4. Ability to interact and communicate well with clients, employees, specialty trade contractors, and vendors.

5. Knowledgeable in all phases of residential remodeling and construction procedures with a minimum of five years carpentry experience.

6. Extensive rough carpentry including layout knowledge of foundations, rafters and stairs.

7. Extensive finish carpentry including exterior trim and interior window and door trims

8. Good working knowledge of all related building trades.

9. The ability to lead and teach other carpenters working under you.

10. Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and good driving record.

11. Achieve NARI Certified Lead Carpenter Designation (CLC).

12. Maintain NARI Certified Lead Carpenter Designation.

13. Achieve Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License (MA CSL)

14. Maintain Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License

15. Achieve OSHA and RRP certifications as needed.

16. Maintain OSHA and RRP certifications as needed.
