Our products consist of New England Coffee, Luzianne Iced Tea, Blue Plate Mayonnaise, Swans Down Cake Flour, and Carroll Shelby Chili (to name a few) and can be found in retail locations around the country.

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for oversight at a departmental level for all QC floor technicians and assisting with all quality related programs and procedures at the manufacturing facility of the mayonnaise and gourmet areas. This position also requires Q/C data entry and management skills, auditing skills, and control over product specifications.

Ongoing Quality Program management – HACCP/FDA rules are being followed.

Assist in planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating activities related to the various quality programs.

Participate and take the lead in food safety audits and perform internal plant audits as assigned.

Train and supervise employees that have a role in the Food Safety and quality procedures to ensure their good understanding of the rules and development as a team.

Oversee and support QC technicians and production related to quality metrics and issues that may arise.

Review daily QC Redzone data sheets for errors and omissions.

Manage QC data bases including Specification in Trace Gains and data sheets in Redzone.

Help in PDCA / MCA root cause analysis related to quality issues and work with OPS on planning and execution.

Review daily analytics and create control charts and perform trending analysis and report out.

Provide back up to QC technicians jobs as needed.

Oversee and develop as needed quality documentation programs and procedures related to the area.

Oversee sanitation testing pertaining to quality requirements. CIP & COP reviews for effectiveness

Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training.

Understand and follow emergency action plan.

Review and update specifications in Redzone and Trace Gains for any changes authorized.

Ensure the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements.

Support and comply with GMP’s.

Follow all company policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment required. Associate degree in food technology or food science or equivalent preferred. Team leadership experience strongly preferred.

Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Office

Ability to analyze and make decisions. Perform root cause analysis and follow up with corrective actions

Energetic, flexible and have ability to work alone and in a team environment

Good verbal and written communication skills

Able to work with cross functional departments within the organization

Good problem solving and analytical skills

Candidates that have prior experience with Quality Assurance is a plus

Candidates that have prior experience in food manufacturing

Candidates that have experience in writing, implementing, and maintaining HACCP plans and quality procedures
