Great Falls, VA
* Great Falls, Virginia, located 15 miles west-northwest of downtown Washington, D.C., is a picturesque suburb. The Potomac River rushes over steep, jagged rocks in Great Falls Park, creating a breathtaking natural spectacle. The historic Union Arch Bridge once spanned Cabin John Creek here. Nearby, the Great Falls Bridge Hotel, frequented by powerful politicians, stood as a lavish establishment. The town’s charm extends to its preserved train station, now a museum, and a Norfolk Southern Railway caboose painted in W&OD livery.
