DLZ Corporation is looking for a MicroStation/Open Roads CADD Designer in Columbus, OH. This is primarily an office position, functioning as a member of the Columbus Survey operations, preparing various project base maps, right of way plans, and survey plans.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Application of surveying principles and practices on a variety of surveying and engineering design projects.

Work with Project Managers, Professional Surveyors, and Engineers during various phases of a project.

Produce small to large scale, complex drawings.

Perform field reviews for Quality Assurance.

Perform survey records research.

Manage deadlines and prioritize assignments.

Effectively communicate with internal staff and external clients.

Perform all work and utilize company equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Mentor other staff (based on experience).

Working occasionally on a field crew as needed.

Understand the public health and safety requirements and be fully trained in the proper safety procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Associate Degree in applicable field, plus 2 years' experience or

High School Graduate or equivalent, plus 4 years' experience.

Experience working with MicroStation/Open Roads software in the processing of field data and right of way plan development required.

Experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D a plus.

Completion of the Ohio Department of Transportation Right of Way Plan Development Course is a plus.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Valid Driver's License with insurable driving record

Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites and complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements.
