With combined experience of over 30 years, Bear Environmental can handle everything from 5-gallon pails to multiple tankers of waste to entire contaminated buildings or sites. Bear Environmental has completed over two thousand waste removal and waste cleanup jobs for over 300 different clients.

Position Description: The Class A CDL Driver is a reliable team member ready to learn.As a CDL A Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials to various destinations. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading cargo, adhering to traffic laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries. The Driver will operate the majority of the time in Ohio and be home 95% of nights.

Pay Range: $26 / hr

Education and Experience

Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and hazmat required with a clean driving record

Ability to drive a manual transmission

Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical stamina and strength to load and unload cargo as required.

Willingness to undergo drug testing and background checks as required by law and company policy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Safely operate the vacuum tanker and 26 box truck

Face-to-face interaction with clients outdoors.

Value organization, cost efficiencies, and compliance when loading and transporting waste materials

Attention to detail in completing required manifests, running and maintaining top-notch equipment

Transport goods and materials to designated locations following assigned routes and schedules.

Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques.

Ensure all deliveries are made on time and per customer specifications.

Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating vehicles.

Communicate effectively with customers and other team members.

Handle any necessary paperwork

Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Additional duties and support as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Lift up to 50 pounds without help; physical labor required

Use pressure washer and other similar equipment

Aid in confined space entry

Aid in clean outs. Set up tripod, run pressure washer, complete paperwork.

A comfort level with smartphone applications is a plus.
