Summary:

Goldschmitt and Associates is seeking a Helpdesk Analyst for a hybrid position. Candidates must be willing to commute to an office location in Sterling, Virginia 3 days a week.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the setup and configuration of workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices

Create user guides and documentation for common IT issues

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines

Monitor system performance and respond to alerts to ensure optimal functionality

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, patches, and backups

Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues

Support end users and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure

Troubleshoot connectivity issues and assist in network troubleshooting

Perform other tasks and duties as may be required or assigned from time to time at the Company’s discretion

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

Basic understanding of IT concepts, systems, and networking

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Eagerness to take on new challenges and learn from experienced team members

Familiarity with Windows operating systems

Basic knowledge of Active Directory and group policy administration

Exposure to virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)

Willing to take feedback, learn, and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement

Minimum Qualifications:

Possess an Associate’s degree or relevant certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or possess at least 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree

Possess at least 2 years of related experience

Possess one of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals

Possess the ability to pick up and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
