An SDET is required for leading commercial real estate, retail, and leisure insight provider, based in Central London.

This is a crucial role that will take complete responsibility for the delivery of fully tested applications, through both automated and manual tests, developed by the Greenstreet software development London, UK team. You will also participate in the use of a new application testing framework built in C# acting as a wrapper/interface around Playwright and Appium. Quality of our data and applications are part of the pivotal values Greenstreet delivers to its clients.

Responsibilities

Responsible for manual and automated black box testing and end to end testing as a part of the software development team.

Expected to quickly develop a thorough understanding of applications and the ability to apply acquired business knowledge to testing. The candidate will be able to pinpoint and communicate any discrepancies or missing information in the specifications documents rather than solely relying on inadequate specifications for testing.

Work closely with Business Analysts/Project Managers and other stakeholders throughout the process.

Assume responsibility for delivery of quality products. Quality will be measured by the delivery of value as defined by working software and low bug incidence.

Collaborating with the development team to understand how development changes affect ongoing Automation effort.

Designing and developing test automation scripts for software and systems to ensure product quality.

Developing and maintaining automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing.

Executing and evaluating software test cases to locate potential software issues.

Identifying, isolating, and tracking bugs throughout testing.

Requirements:

Strong automation test experience.

Strong testing and test-case frame of mind.

Experience in manual and automated testing using NUnit or similar is a must.

Experience in setup and implementation of automated mobile application tests - Appium is a bonus.

Familiarity with POM design.

Familiarity with various Cloud services. Azure services - blobs and queues, especially - a bonus.

A reasonable level of SQL knowledge is required.

Familiarity with C# is essential.

Browser Stack experience is helpful but not essential.

Good communicator

Ability to work as part of a collaborative team but also able to take the initiative.

Ability to quickly grasp business rules and apply them in testing of the application and data is essential.

Ability to look at application usability and functionality with ‘common sense’ and question any discrepancies, providing suitable suggestions for improvement.

Some knowledge of SQL to set up test data and verify test results. For example: inserts, updates, joins, nested queries, ordering, grouping, etc.

Experience of working with automated functional, GUI and black box testing would be highly desirable.

Familiarity and a passion for Agile methods of working a must.

Must be able to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship
