COMPENSATION RANGE: $50,000 to $70,000 based upon experience
THE COMPANY: Real Equity Management (REM) is a privately owned design-build and property management firm based in Columbia, Missouri. For more than 20 years, we have fulfilled community needs by building a diverse commercial and residential real estate portfolio across the Midwest. Over the years, our portfolio has grown to include hotels, restaurants, mixed-use and market-rate communities, in addition to commercial and retail spaces. We remain focused on our plans for growth and currently have several exciting projects under construction and in queue!
THE REAL ESTATE/CONSTRUCTION ANALYST POSITION: Our Real Estate/Construction Analyst will play a key role in financial analysis and performance reporting for our property investments. You will support our finance team through evaluation of historical costs, expense control, underwrite construction projects and provide valuable insights on market conditions. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in credit analysis or demonstrated expertise in underwriting multifamily or commercial real estate debt and investment properties.
REAL ESTATE/CONSTRUCTION ANALYST RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews the financial analysis/modeling of current and projected performance of property investments to report to senior management.
Support the Design and Construction teams in evaluation of historical costs
Create and analyze reports for expense control for future use and benefit
Working with team to underwrite and analyze actual and potential construction projects
Coordinate consultant contracts and invoices relating to development projects
Performs all manner of analytical and technical tasks by reviewing, and analyzing the scopes of contractor agreements
Assist in coordinating loan draws, forecasting project budgets and managing project deliverables
Inform project team of project status and issues that may impact costs and delivery timelines
Possesses significant knowledge of current real estate market conditions for submarkets in which assets are located
Form effective working relationships and networks with vendors, contractors, third party property managers, appraisers, brokers, and other service providers to ensure timely and superior completion of all projects and deliverables
Prioritize and manage multiple complex projects in various stages with aggressive deadlines and timelines
REAL ESTATE/CONSTRUCTION ANALYST REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED; Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or related field focus
REQUIRED; credit analysis or demonstrated expertise in underwriting multifamily or commercial real estate debt and investment properties.
Highly organized with a strong work ethic
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with quick retention of financial concepts
Self-starter with excellent deductive reasoning ability and ability to work with limited supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with clients in a professional and effective manner
