This is why we're hiring a Landing Gear System Architecture Engineer.

You will be responsible for design, integration, verification, and validation of landing gear subsystems.

JetZero is a place for people who are ambitious, talented, and humble.

This role is based in Long Beach, CA reporting to Head of Landing Gear Systems.

What You'll Do Conduct trade studies, analyses, and test programs as necessary to validate system architectures meet all requirements.

Participate in integration and coordination activities with various departments, suppliers and the certification authorities.

Conduct multi-disciplinary design reviews internally and with suppliers throughout the phases of development, certification, and production readiness as required to coordinate and communicate system design projects.

Detail design of landing gear structural components, landing gear subsystem integration, and airframe interfaces, in close coordination with various departments.

Design and coordinate the build of an Iron Bird lab to test the landing gear systems, in close coordination with various departments.

Generate, review, and/or approve: * System safety analyses, such as FHAs, FTAs, CCAs, etc.

* Engineering drawings, schematics, and design specifications * System and equipment test plans and reports * Compliance documentation * System engineering processes Coordinate as required to execute and manage system design projects, testing, certification, production readiness, etc.

Experience Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering from an accredited university.

Minimum 5 years in experience in system development of Part 25 landing gear systems, hydraulic systems, or other critical aircraft systems.

Good knowledge of ARP4754 development processes and experience with model-based design is an asset.

Experience with software tools such as Siemens NX, Mathworks Matlab and Simulink preferred.
