Volt is hiring a Pipe Welder for an immediate opportunity with a top manufacturer in DeSoto, Texas.

As a Welder you will:

Use necessary equipment for Mig and Tig Welding of pressure pipes

Follow all established safety and hygiene rules, such as the use of personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses and safety shoes.

Maintain the integrity and good condition of assigned tools.

Maintain the work area clean and organized.

Be able to operate overhead and jib cranes for safe hoisting and carrying of parts, tools, and fixtures.

Perform machine setup and basic preventive maintenance on machines which welder operates

Working on shop floor – area dedicated for welding . The scope of work is defined by OIS, ME, repairable limits

Experienced in wide range of machine tool controls, testing and adjustments.

Hours are Monday – Friday from 5am – 1:30 pm with lots of overtime available. Must be able to work weekends if needed for overtime. Positions are long term temp to hire.

The ideal candidate will have:

Recent tig, mig and stick welding experience

Pipe welding experience preferred

Operating hand/pneumatic/accu tools preferred

May consider people with structural welding experience

Have a high school diploma or GED

Be able to pass a 7 year criminal background check and drug screen

Pay Rate: $18-20/hr
