Job Description

The Russian Speaking Case Manager grant funded position provides assessments of client needs, connects clients to appropriate resources and offers ongoing case management and supportive counseling services to a caseload of Holocaust Survivor clients from the Former Soviet Union.Qualified candidates must be able to speak and write fluent Russian to communicate with clients who either only sneak Russian or have verv limited English communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate case management to Holocaust Survivors through in-person home and office visits.

Draft and submit applications for emergency assistance as needed.

Assist Holocaust Survivors with reparation applications and other benefit applications.

Provide supportive counseling and support groups to FSU Holocaust Survivor client population.

Draft and maintain progress notes in client files and/or the electronic case management system.

Translate letters, documents, and flyers into Russian for mailings as appropriate.

Collaborate with the Program Manager and other Holocaust Survivor Program staff concerning grants and programming.

Provide Person Centered Trauma Informed Care trainings for agency staff.

Participate in supervision meetings with Supervisor as needed.

Need to drive and submit a copy of insurance, driver's license, and registration.

Bachelor's Degree preferred with recommended previous case management experience.

Excellent communication skills

Jewish Background preferred

Previous experience working with the geriatric population. Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.

Position is full-time, 35 hours/week of in-person employment. Reports to Director of Holocaust Survivor Services and Advocacy.
