ROSE STATE COLLEGE ANNOUNCES TWO OPENINGS IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
POSITION: Desktop Support Technician I
Description of Duties:
Perform installation of PCs, printers, scanners and other computer equipment and peripherals. Install terminals, PCs, printers, and other computer equipment. Install cabling for computer and network related equipment. Troubleshoot and repair network connectivity, hardware and software issues. Install, test, and repair networking equipment. Assist with projects involving usage of PC software. Perform backup of network servers. Contact manufacturers for technical support and warranty issues. Maintain, inventory, and utilize salvaged parts and equipment from surplus stock. Maintain records on equipment service reports and user service requests. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of experience working with personal computers. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Heavy lifting and heavy carrying required. Ability to reach above shoulder. Ability to climb ladder. Periods of time spent walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, bending, and stooping. Manual dexterity sufficient to type and operate small instruments and equipment.
Desired Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Experience working with computer related communications.
