Job Title: Maintenance Technician (with MEP focus) $1000.00 Sign on bonus after 6 months

Office or Division: Facilities

Reports To: Director of Facilities

Effective Dates: Immediate start date

FTE 1.0/12-month

Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Occasional flexibility needed to support morning and evening events)

Position Summary

Wellington seeks a skilled maintenance technician with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing expertise. This individual will serve as a member of the Facilities team and will complete a variety of daily tasks under the direction of the Maintenance Coordinator and Director of Facilities. The overall purpose of the facilities department is to maintain and enhance the physical environment of the school, and to ensure a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and the entire Wellington community. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative and willing to handle situations on-demand in a frequently fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical skills to maintain and repair a variety of areas:

· HVAC and plumbing preferred

· Electrical and lighting

· Doors, hardware, access controls, and security devices

· Kitchen and dining equipment

· Interior construction, finishes, casework, and furnishings

· Exterior building envelope (walls, windows, doors, roof, etc.) and grounds

Facilities assistance:

· Perform interior and exterior event setup and takedown including, but not limited to chair, table, and equipment movement, arrangement, and set up in preparation of and after events.

· Complete work orders for a variety of interior and exterior projects as assigned

Contributes to the overall school community:

· Performs any other reasonable duties related to school operations which are requested by the Director of Facilities, Chief Operations Officer, or the Head of School.

Position Requirements:

· Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent

· Candidates should have 2+ years of experience in facilities, maintenance, renovation, and/or construction field

· Confidence working independently to repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
