Broadcast Production Technician

WCMH-TV, the NBC affiliate in Columbus, Ohio, one of the great cities in America, DMA #34, seeks a Broadcast Production Technician which has four primary tasks:

Newscast Production, Studio & Technical Area Upkeep, Editing, Live Production Support.

Operate Grass Valley Ignite Automation Production System

Operate Teleprompter and monitor Closed Captioning

Adobe Premiere Editing

Prepares and strikes studio for newscasts and productions

Builds and decorates the set and/or provides props used for production

Provide production-related support as needed and may work with outside production facilities

Assist in digital media productions, liaising with appropriate departments

Maintains and stores props, sets, lighting equipment

Requirements & Skills:

Degree in Communication or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience

Minimum 2 years experience directing live newscast with Grass Valley Ignite Automation Production System

Must be able to interact well with news, production and engineering staff

Detail oriented

Excellent communication and organization skills
