• Development of complex commercial proposals and contracting mechanisms.
• Studying the requirements, duties and obligations of the company under contracts to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and industry regulations.
• Providing commercial input into the cost estimating process.
• Sign-off of bid/project terms in accordance with own levels of delegated authority and obtaining further corporate approvals in accordance with company delegations of authority.
• Identification and management of commercial risks to meet project commitments.
• Support to the production and assessment of supplier request for proposals (RFPs) ensuring risk mitigation and value for money is achieved and meets customer’s needs.
• Analysis and drafting of contract requirements and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with law and corporate policies.
• Develop negotiation strategies and lead negotiations to ensure strategic business objectives are met.
• Contract administration of the allocated projects to maximize profitability and ensure timely achievement of project objectives.
• Management of the commercial elements of the contract change control process.
• Providing contractual guidance and coaching to the project team and briefings on project commercial issues when required.
• Building effective commercial customer relationships and assuming commercial focal point for allocated projects.
• Development and continuous improvement of commercial processes and procedures within the business.
• As required, lead and project manage bid teams to ensure robust proposal responses are submitted on time and with appropriate governance and rigour.
• Provide input and support to through life-cycle project delivery improvement initiatives.
• As required, provide additional project/programme management support and expertise to meet business needs.
• Identify, develop and launch initiatives and tools to support delivery of sales and profit targets
• Develop relationships with key technology providers to enable us to develop forward thinking sales and support programmes for our customers
