The Virginia Center for Eye Surgery (VCES) seeks an experienced Administrator to oversee its strategic, fiscal, and clinical operations. This multi-OR surgery center is located in Virginia Beach, VA and provides care to 5,000 patients annually. The Ambulatory Surgery Center is minutes from the beach and services multiple physician offices within the Tidewater region.
The Ambulatory Surgery Center Administrator will be responsible for the management and operations of the Center as a whole, including clinical and financial oversight. This nursing administrator role provides ample opportunity to apply executive leadership and process improvement skills in a physician-owned facility independent of the hospital system.

Administrator duties include oversight of staff, supplier negotiations, financial analysis, quality/process improvement, and physician relations.

Full Job Description
The Administrator is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of administrative practices, agency philosophy, goals, and policies which assure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, coordinating and completing assigned projects to effectively support the immediate and long-range objectives of the company, enhancing the profitability of designated agencies, and providing motivation and retention of qualified staff and assure the quality of services delivered. This position also liaises with management staff and other departments throughout the company.
Essential Functions:
Participates in and helps to facilitate the QAPI planning and processes, reporting, and improvement
Action plans in assigned agencies. It includes the oversight of all occurrences, complaints, adverse trends, performance improvement issues, patient/family satisfaction scores, and concerns.
Responsible for the financial performance of the assigned agencies, which includes: performance to budget, review of weekly metrics, billing reports, staff productivity, week-over-week growth,
Reports to their direct medical directors /owners on all operational, financial, risk management, compliance, staffing, business development and patient care issues
Assists in identifying and implementing Business Development opportunities in assigned agencies, inclusive of agency participation in community awareness, education, and service-oriented projects in assigned regions
Works closely with the Medical Directors to drive a vision of appropriate growth by focusing every team member on the needs and expectations of the referral community and patients
Reviews and approves all personnel decisions including, but not limited to, terminations, suspensions, new hires and grievances as needed for assigned agencies.
Ensures adequate staffing of assigned agencies as well as adequate staff education and evaluations
Make sure all Quality patient scores are met according to company guidelines.
Acts as a liaison between business contacts and/or Home Office Departments regarding assigned agencies" fiscal, operational and quality performance.
Responsible for compliance in assigned agencies with all applicable regulations, laws, policies and procedures.
Mentors and collaborates with Medical Directors to ensure compliance in these areas.
License Requirements
RN highly preferred.
Education Required
MBA/MHA or 10 years of healthcare experience in lieu of degree.
Experience Requirements
Five years experience in direct financial and employee management of a healthcare facility or multi-site healthcare facilities.
P&L as well as budget process experience.
Proven financial management ability
Experience with State and CMS recertification
Skill Requirements
Able to develop and implement strategies for agency improvement
Ability to understand and guide staff on how operational metrics impact financial performance.
Able to multi-task and be a creative problem solver

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
