Salary:

MBDA Inc. is looking for a Systems Engineer, Associate Principal to join our team in Huntsville, AL.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as technical expert for System Engineering and principle systems architect. Supports proposals, development, develop and define scope of work and engineering concepts for advanced projects. Responsible to perform technical coordination, direction, review and status of the complete System Engineering work package on these advanced projects. Conduct analysis of weapon system performance and physical characteristics to identify and allocate mission, system, and subsystem requirements. Provide a comprehensive indentured framework of requirements for use as performance, design, interface, support, production, cost, and test criteria. Perform analysis to assess compliance of each throughout the system development cycle.

Develop and maintain hi-fidelity 6-DoF digital simulation and analysis tools as required in support of the above activities. Perform and/or ensure simulation verification testing and analysis leading to evaluation of total weapon system effectiveness analysis and evaluations are conducted and maintained. Conduct system design reviews to ensure that the system definition and design provides a balanced design and reflects requirements for all system elements: subsystems, software, test and analysis tools, support equipment, facilities and operational elements. Perform trade studies for the development and optimization of system concepts and architectures in support of ongoing programs and in development of new business marketing and proposal activities. Provide technical coordination and direction for Engineering as outlined by management. Ensure program and technical milestones are met and coordinates the analysis and assessment of compliance with customer, program, and system requirements throughout the product development cycle.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and experience in methodologies and processes for system requirements development verification to include modeling, analysis, and testing.

Computer programming in a high order language. Experience in system architecture development, requirements analysis, flow-down, generation of specifications, design verification and procurement.

Experience in developing, maintaining, and utilizing 6-DoF simulations. Effective technical writing, presentation and communication skills.

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum of 12 years’ experience, Master’s degree desired.

Must have active US DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain US DoD Secret Clearance

Requires full-time work during regular business hours. Work outside regular business hours may be required to complete assignments. In the performance of essential duties, requires mental alertness, keen vision, ability to sit for long periods of time. Requires frequent use of computer and/or calculator. Working conditions are typical office conditions.
