COMPANY OVERVIEW: A Leader in industrial construction and mechanical services.

POSITION TITLE: Director of Business Development

COMPENSATION: Competitive Salary + DOE + Bonus

BENEFITS: Standard package

LOCATION: Houston, Texas

SUMMARY: Plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs the operations and programs of all business development of the company divisions.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Make presentations to clients regarding the company’s capabilities and differentiators.

Manage and grow key client relationships through routine business meetings and approved entertainment events.

Develop and implement written strategic account plans and advanced sales strategies

Identify contacts in client accounts that can help the company develop a picture of a 3-5 year look- ahead for turnarounds and projects for that client

Coordinate other company resources (marketing, operations administrative) in pursuit of new client’s business.

Secure strategic agreements with priority target clients

Analyzing market pricing and determining a fair and reasonable service selling price that is competitive.

Coordinate bid and proposal activity in assigned accounts, including pre-qualification forms,

Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals (RFIs and RFPs)

Participate in industry trade shows and technical conferences as required.

Maintain familiarity and knowledge of key company service and technology, strategic initiatives, safety and operations programs and business development practices and procedures

Participate in the constant branding of company through the proper use of logo, tag line and other marketing tools.

Call on other prospects (engineering firms, other owners) to identify collaborative work opportunities.

When visiting jobs/projects, be seen at the safety meetings to make the company’s commitment to safety clearly known.

Conduct post-project safety, quality, performance and client satisfaction reviews

Meet or exceed budgeted revenue in assigned or target client accounts including P&L Management

Develop scopes of work with schedule & budget

Coordinate efforts with VP of Construction, VP of Turnarounds and Specialty Services and President

Make presentations to company Board of Directors and Sr. Management

Comply with and abide by all the company’s regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

Assist in hiring, developing, mentoring, and establishing office guidelines and procedures.

Working knowledge of maintenance projects, capital projects, and turnarounds.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

10+ years of experience in sales team management, corporate account management and budgeting

Contacts in industrial construction are a must.

BS degree strongly preferred.

Working knowledge of maintenance projects and turnarounds, and pipe fabrication.

Must have a successful track record of exceeding sales goals and meeting quotas and setting qualified appointments with C-level executives.

Must have strong book of contacts in Refining and Petrochem industries and must possess solid understanding of the market to educate company operations and marketing personnel.

Demonstrate leadership qualities and possess strong organizational skills.

Ability to think strategically based on knowledge of client’s business.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven experience in selling and generating business at executive level.

Proven success in acquiring new accounts (including cold calling) and expanding existing accounts.

Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with all levels of client organizations from executive to field level.

Strong personal initiative and drive for results, with proven program execution skills

Creative problem-solving skills.

Personal qualities required that include the company’s core values, self-confidence and ability to work in a team environment
