Lab Safety/EDU/LIS Specialist

Responsibilities:

Oversees Laboratory safety and education programs, providing employees with a safe and nurturing work environment, and ensuring compliance to organizational and accreditation agency standards. Provides local support to laboratory information systems users and works in collaboration with LIS Analyst in database building, upgrades and ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED:

1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or a general or specialist Medical Technologist certification recognized by the state of Georgia. 2. Five years experience as a Medical Technologist. 3. Five years experience with laboratory computer systems. 4. Ability to develop, organize, and implement projects, programs, or policies.

PREFERRED:

1. Demonstrated knowledge of multiple computer and software systems.
