Clinical Research Nurse (Infusion Nurse)
The Registered Research Nurse manages study patients in an outpatient-based infusion suite. They provide nursing care for patients receiving investigational therapies delivered through intravenous therapy. The Registered Research Nurse
follows study specific protocol guidelines and communicates and interacts with investigators, clinic staff, sponsoring agencies, and others to effectively perform required infusions and related research procedures
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the insertion and maintenance of the IV line as well as the care of the patient receiving the therapy
Establish IV access
Administer investigation product
Monitor patient, ensure patient safety
Attend meetings and relay pertinent information to Infusion Team members in a timely manner
Maintain timely AES source documentation as well as sponsor required information
Complete all monitor and sponsor queries within a timely manner
Manage all nurse functions of the Infusion suite
Assist PI and Clinical Research Coordinator in trial related procedures such as lumber punctures, lab collections, EKG’s and more
Assess patient’s tolerance to IP, ensuring the absence of infusion reactions
Perform preceptor duties to provide training and guidance for employees in Infusion Nurse I roles
Travel to affiliated sites as needed

Qualifications:
Valid RN license required
Active CRNI certification preferred.
At least 1 year experience in infusions or relevant role required.
At least 2 years in a clinical setting required.
Experience in a Clinical Research setting preferred
Proven IV insertion skills required.
