The Maintenance Manager at Brown and Root is responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of industrial equipment and facilities.

They lead a team of maintenance technicians and coordinate with other departments to develop and implement maintenance strategies that support operational objectives and minimize downtime.

Duties and Responsibilities: * Maintenance Planning and Strategy: * Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans and strategies to ensure the reliability and availability of equipment and facilities.

* Collaborate with operations, engineering, and other departments to prioritize maintenance activities and optimize resource allocation.

* Establish preventive maintenance programs and schedules to minimize unplanned downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.

* Team Leadership and Management: * Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, including hiring, training, performance management, and development.

* Provide guidance, support, and motivation to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.

* Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.

* Asset Management: * Maintain accurate records of equipment and facilities, including maintenance history, repairs, and inspections.

* Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize equipment performance, reliability, and lifespan.

* Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs and opportunities for improvement.

* Maintenance Execution: * Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and shutdowns.

* Ensure that maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

* Monitor progress of maintenance activities and provide support and guidance as needed to resolve issues and meet objectives.

* Budget and Cost Management: * Develop and manage maintenance budgets, including forecasting, planning, and tracking expenses.

* Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize maintenance spending without compromising quality or reliability.

* Monitor and analyze maintenance costs and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

* Vendor and Contractor Management: * Manage relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors to support maintenance activities and projects.

* Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and procurement terms to ensure cost-effective and reliable service delivery.

* Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.

* Safety and Compliance: * Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies and procedures.

* Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to safe work practices among maintenance team members.

* Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training to identify hazards and mitigate risks.

* Continuous Improvement: * Lead and support initiatives to improve maintenance processes, systems, and performance.

* Identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and efficiency gains in maintenance operations.

* Encourage feedback and participation from maintenance team members to drive continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in engineering, maintenance management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). * Several years of experience in maintenance management or a similar role within the industrial or manufacturing sector.

* Strong technical knowledge of maintenance practices, techniques, and equipment.

* Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and develop a team.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

* Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications.

* Knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and best practices related to maintenance operations.

* Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional - CMRP) may be advantageous.
